Software Industry Conference morphing into ISV/Con
The successful Software Industry Conference (SIC) has been acquired by the Association of Software Professionals (the ASP) and is being moulded into an all new ISV conference named ISV Con.
The next conference (2011 has been skipped due to the transfer of ownership) in 2012 is planned to be held in Reno, Nevada at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa:

The new conference is still being managed and organized by some of the ‘old hands’ that made the SIC such an annual success, but new and fresh ideas are sure to be added now that the ASP (and its members of course) own and are contributing much more than just sponsorship.
Reno is apparently a hidden gem of an area. So even if you don’t like gambling, there are a lot of really nice places around Reno within a short drive (there is also a really good bus system too). Worth a mention is Reno’s new minor league baseball park – it’s beautiful, down-town and many have said “it’s a really great place to have a good time”. Also down-town is the National Automobile Museum.
So plenty to do outside of the ISV Con itself.
